"Hello, operator?" is a game about connecting jacks to the correct plugs on a switchboard. The game was made for the 'New Year, New Skills Game Jam'. (It looks like some others had the same idea of a switchboard operator game!) Originally, the game was going to be more literal on the switchboard operator duties, but was made simpler for the sake of fun and a more casual experience. The game was made with replayability in mind, so I hope you have fun! (Tell me your scores and what you think of the game)

Some gameplay tips:

  • When the jacks appear around the board, drag them from the base and to the highlighted section.
  • You cannot plug a jack into a hole that's covered by another jack, you'll need move the occluding jack, or wait for the call to end. (Signified by flashing.)
  • When a jack's cable is flashing, the "call" has ended on the line, and you can free the jack by clicking on it.
  • When a jack turns red, it means you have 3 seconds to plug it in or you'll lose a "health point".
  • As you play more, the board will change and the behavior of calls will change, so you'll need to adapt.
